John F. Mann Institute for Applied Geology Fund

The purpose of the John F. Mann Institute for Applied Geology Fund is to support the John Mann Mentors in Applied Hydrogeology Programs. These programs are focused on Applied Hydrogeology and the career possibilities that this specialty encompass. They are held at both the Annual and Section Meetings, encourage interactive conversation and networking opportunities between students interested in pursuing applied hydro careers and those professionals currently engaged in applied hydrogeology or hydrology. The program goal is to bring together for mentoring purposes these students with professionals from:

  • the existing pool of practicing hydrogeologists associated with GSA's Hydrogeology Division Annual Meetings,
  • GSA's Sections' Hydrogeology Representatives and other attendees, and
  • other hydrogeology professionals in attendance at GSA's Section Meetings, including non-GSA members.
