George O. Linkletter Ph.D.
Dr. Linkletter is a Principal and Senior Vice President at ENVIRON International Corporation with expertise in geology, hydrogeology, and applied mathematics. Dr. Linkletter has over 35 years of experience in evaluating geologic, hydrogeologic, and other environmental characteristics related to operations at facilities planned or operated by the petroleum, utility, electronic, and waste management industries. He has wide-ranging experience in the investigation and remediation of state and Federal Superfund sites at which the contaminants included chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, heavy metals, PCBs, and asbestos.
His recent work has focused on risk management and decision making related to critical environmental issues. Dr. Linkletter has an active litigation support expert witness practice with recent cases focusing on issues such as allocation, the origin and timing of contaminant releases, remedial strategies, and the standard of practice related to environmental due diligence, site characterization, and site remediation. He has designed waste management facilities and managed remediation plans at waste management facilities and industrial properties. Dr. Linkletter is a recipient of the Antarctic Service Medal of the United States, is a Fellow in The Explorers Club, and is the immediate past Chair of GSA’s Geology and Public Policy Committee. A Registered Geologist with the State of California, Dr. Linkletter has a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Washington, an A.M. and an A.B. in Geology from Dartmouth College. | ||||
