Margaret Eggers, PhD, PG, CHG

 

Margaret R. Eggers, PhD, PG, CHG, began work in consulting in 1987 for Shannon & Wilson in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1991, she moved to San Diego and worked for Hargis & Associates in La Jolla, and later McLaren/Hart in Irvine. In 1996, she returned to Hargis & Associates as a principal hydrogeologist and shareholder. In 2003, she started her own independent consulting firm, Eggers Environmental, Inc. to provide Expert services for litigation consulting and mediation, and 3rd party review in soil and groundwater contamination, geology and hydrogeology.

 

Dr. Eggers graduated from Florida State University with a BS in Geology, and went on to obtain her MS under Dr. Robert D. Hatcher, and PhD under Dr. Robert Ehrlich, both in Geology at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. Dr. Eggers serves on the Editorial Board of the Environmental Forensics Journal, and volunteers as an Event Captain for the Regional Competition for Secondary Science Olympiad.

 

Dr. Eggers is Editor/Author of the field guide, “Mining History and Geology of Joshua Tree National Park”, published by SunBelt publications and is a lecturer and workshop instructor for the Joshua Tree National Park Association’s Desert Institute. She teaches Geology and Oceanography part-time at Mira Costa College, and is an Adjunct to San Diego State University Department of Geological Sciences.
