Michael Manship

Born and raised in Northern Maine Michael Manship was entranced by the Rocky Mountains and Salt Lake City while pursuing skiing and education at Westminster College, starting with a degree in Biology and Environmental Sciences. Manship thoroughly enjoyed working in enzyme research co- authoring papers on energy transferring enzymes while rambling through many of the departments at the University of Utah, ending with robust experiences in mining, logging, cooking, and music festival productions, not to mention Math, Music, Computer Studies, and Biochemistry.

But somewhere along the way Geology took over and guided him through Engineering and Exploration areas. He worked in, and traveled from peaks to four kilometer deep sinking buckets. Investments and their opportunities and responsibilities now replace the field work but the passion remains for the outdoors and mineral collecting. His bride and two boys are what he has chosen to center his life around today.
